The oldest tale in Japan tells the story of the princess "Kaguya".
It is the legend of a bamboo cutter who discovers in the heart of a bamboo cane a little princess from the moon. He will raise her as his daughter. Exceptionally beautiful, the little princess ends up meeting the Emperor. Unfortunately, their love story is impossible and the princess will be forced to return to the people of the Moon. The Emperor will order a letter to be burnt on the top of Mount Fuji so that his words reach the Princess. It is from this legend that Japan's most famous mountain takes its name.
